Swara Bhaskar is an Indian actress who works in the Bollywood film industry. She is a well-known actress in the Bollywood industry with her amazing skills in acting. Actually, her full name is Swara Bhaskar Chitrapu. Swara received a total of three Filmfare Award from nominations (till now).
She was born on 9 April 1988 in Delhi, India. She is the daughter of a naval officer(a Telugu Indian Navy) named Chitrapu Uday Bhaskar. Swara’s father married to a Bihari wife Ira Bhaskar, her mother was a professor of cinema studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Swara completed her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Delhi, and further Swara enrolls her to complete her masters’ degree in sociology from the Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Swara made her first film debut as a supporting role in a drama film Madholal Keep Walking, a commercial failure in 2009. She achieved further mainstream attention in the commercially successful romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu(2011). And she got a Filmfare award for best supporting actress for her amazing acting on that film.
Bhaskar was praised for portraying an aggressive lover in the critically acclaimed romantic drama Raanjhanaa (2013), for which she earned her second Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination.
She then played supporting roles in the romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) and the romantic drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015), both of which rank among the highest-grossing Bollywood films. Her starring roles in the comedy-drama Nil Battey Sannata (2016), and the drama Anaarkali of Aarah (2017) which she was nominated for Best Actress (Critics) at 63rd Filmfare Awards.
